All Saints Episcopal Church needed more than a logo refresh; they needed a visual identity that authentically represented who they are: a progressive, intellectually engaged faith community where questions are welcome and "all" truly means all. Their existing branding lacked consistency across digital and print platforms and failed to communicate what makes them distinctive in a crowded religious landscape.
I developed a complete brand identity system centered on an open-armed figure, a gesture of genuine welcome that travels seamlessly from building signage to smartphone screens. Every decision was intentional: Futura typography, chosen for being the typeface of 1952 (the year their building was established), creating authentic historical resonance with their mid-century modern architecture. The color palette, warm navy, burnt sienna, and deep olive, references both Episcopal tradition and 1950s modernist sensibilities. The geometric precision ensures visual harmony and scalability across all applications.
The flexible lockup system includes horizontal, stacked, and icon-only versions, ensuring the identity works everywhere their mission leads, from stone facades to social media. The result is a sophisticated yet approachable identity that positions All Saints as both rooted in tradition and relevant for today, supporting their distinctive balance of liturgical tradition and progressive values.
